Had a bad day yesterday and I thought I was going to die! I woke to a migraine at 5:30am. I got up to take some meds. I went back to bed. Got up at 7:30 and my eyesight was gone again from yet another migraine. I waited 45 minutes for my sight to come back. It did. Then once again I lost it from another migraine. This has to be the scariest thing to happen to me. When you are not in control of something like you sight, it can be frightening as you think you will stay blind. Not to mention the feelings it gives you; numb face and hands, vertigo (feels like you can loose your balance and fall off your chair-even though you are stationary), vomiting, sensitivity to light and sounds, cannot think straight or clearly)
Back in 1993, this happened once before. It was an all day event. I would loose my sight, wait 45 minutes for its return and then gone again. Over and over as I would sit there in pain from the head-ach, crying out of fear that it would never return.
My day was shot. I was shot. I am still feeling the effects even today. The day after is usually blurry eyesight, lack of motor coordination, swollen tong, and over-all, still sensitive to light and temperature. I managed to go to work even though we have guests from Tokyo here. The office is in a buzz and I am not with it.
My brain either opened up its left side to me or there is going to be an enormous mass in there somewhere. I am just glad it is over.
the doctor told me that i need to see a neurolgest immediatly. i will keep you posted.
