I want to recommend a movie. “Fear and Trembling” was a wake up call into the Japanese work environment. It depicts how Japanese business men treat woman and foreigners in the work place. It brought back a lot of memories of Japan and some of the woman I worked with at the BOE. There were also some scenarios of where I worked in New York. So, I think if anyone wants to understand the sexist raw truth of Japanese men, this is a movie for you.

New Years Eve. There is a light dusting of snow on the ground outside. It is a tad cold. This is the first year that I will be spending New Years inside without friends or family. I have an inner ear infection and I am feeling very dizzy (unlike the normal dizzy self). I feel like falling down all the time and I have been throwing up. I got sick on Christmas day, after the dinner. It tasted better going down. So tonight, I have a bottle of champagne, Sasha, and the cats. How lovely! God, have I become boring?
