We had our first Nyack Bridge Street Christmas party. Everyone came to the party and it was a great success. Lots of friends, food, and drinks. Much drink. It is fun to watch someone go from sober to ragging drunk right before your eyes. I love my downstairs neighbor.
We brought a platter of fresh mozzarella basil, and tomato. There was a small cup of pesto to spread on the bread with it. Also, I made a poached salmon with capers and dill. I drizzled cucumber, garlic yogurt sauce.
We had a huge platter of sushi rolls, Spanish pattadda, stuffed Italian bread, and bar bits. Not to mention lots of wines and beers. It was a great time, one that I know will happen again next year.
We also went to a x-Mas party down on Wall Street. Two of Sasha’s clients invited us and that was also a lot of fun. This one was catered. I met a nice guy. When I was introduced to him they said he could speak 5 languages, so I tried speaking Japanese with him. He understood a little. We hung out most of the night. Later that evening we went to my Favorite pizza Places “Autoroes”. They have the best coal oven pizza I have ever had outside of Italy and Sicily.
Speaking of Sicily, my brother and his wife will be returning back home this weekend .they will not be in the states for X-Mas this year. My parents are sailing the sea of cheese aboard a cruise to the Western Caribbean. They should be having a great time.
