Well, it is official. I will be leaving for Japan a week or so before the first of September. So many things are going on here. I am so happy and scared at the same time. I have been traveling a great deal so I may have good memories while I am gone. I can’t believe this is really going to happen. Its not every day you get a chance to live in Japan.
So, tonight I will be driving upstate yet again. This weekend we are having a surprise party for my grandmother. Sasha’s traveling down to the island along with his fireworks. This will be a nice relaxing weekend then. Should be fun!

I spoke to the woman at Earlham
The job opens in August and if I am accepted that is when I will be moving. It is in the Northern part of Japan, but not to far North. The weather is equivalent to Illinois, cool winters and hot summers. The town is farley large – 31,000 people and it is very close to larger ones. I will be teaching Elementary and high school and using a car for transportation to and from work- so I get to drive.
The job was given to someone who backed out at the last minute. I have two phone interviews over the weekend and I will know soon after that. This is going to be an interesting week- wish me luck!

Congrats to Trisha. She is getting married at the end of the month.
She was at my wedding and she wore a cute Purple nightgown. So, I am wondering if I should wear underwear to her wedding? I hope hers turns out for the best, unlike mine. An after hours party turned into a strip show for my New York friends and a bitter divorce a year later. Not to mention a crack head Ex-husband still on the sauce. Looking forward to the wedding and I know you will be in love forever….
